When I posted about my experience coming off birth control, I was shocked at the number of responses that came in. So many of you have been through this or are going through this now.
If you missed my story on it, I shared that I came off birth control about 6 months ago simply because I was tired of putting hormones in my body every single night and I felt like it was giving me migraines.
You amazing ladies flooded my inbox with similar stories and insight into what has helped. I’ve compiled the responses and hoping this helps other ladies going through the same thing!
Many of us have experienced positive and negative side effects of coming off birth control:
Negative:
Face breakouts
Recommendations:
Body breakouts (back/arms/neck)
Recommendations:
Postive:
Less/No more migraines
Feel more ‘normal’
No more stomach issues
More energy
And above all else, give it time.
It can feel defeating.
It can mess with your confidence.
It can feel like the only thing you can do to make it better is getting back on the pill.
Some ladies said it took a few years for their body to finally get back to normal. Everyone is different, everyones body is unique – but I hope this post reminds you that there are other women going through the same thing and it will get better.

Of course, If you’re not sure what to do and take always consult your doctor first. 🙂
