Here’s your weekend guide to Savannah, Georgia. We went for a long weekend and chose to stay in an Airbnb – just to have more room than a hotel. But there are a lot of cute hotels in the area too.
Where to Stay in Savannah
The Windrose Hotel and Apartments
Pros: Walk to everything
Cons: Have to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to the room

Where to Eat in Savannah
Coffee:
Betty and Beaus – An awesome small business that employs people with special needs
Brunch:
Collins Quarter – HIGHLY RECOMMEND
The Fitzroy – Cool, moody vibe with a rooftop eating area
Lunch:
The Grove – Also has a rooftop bar
The Grey Market – Has a cute counter where you eat
Cocktails:
Peregrin – Awesome rooftop bar at the top of The Perry Lane Hotel
Lulu’s Chocolate Bar – Not a super cute place but AMAZING martinis and desserts
Dinner:
Planters Tavern – Great food, great service, only 15 tables and it’s all by candlelight!
The Grey Restaurant – This place came highly recommended by a lot of people

What to Do in Savannah
Forsyth Park – See the beautiful moss trees and fountain
St Johns Cathedral – We didn’t get to go inside because service was in session but the outside was gorgeous
Haunted Pub Crawl – We booked a nighttime walking (and drinking) tour to learn about the history of the city. I needed to know why everyone says it’s haunted!
Evening Sail – I REALLY wanted to book this excursion (via Airbnb) but the weather did not cooperate for it to happen
Dueling Piano Bar – SO MUCH FUN (21+ only) – Doors open at 8pm but the rowdiness starts around 11pm. We did get there around 8pm so we could get a table. It became standing room only by 10pm. Oh – and bring cash for the $5 cover charge.

What to Wear in Savannah
You’re going to do a lot of walking so BRING COMFORTABLE SHOES. Even when we went out at night, I opted for comfortable shoes instead of heels. SCAD College is there and IT IS HIPSTER. I feel like I stood out a bit because I dress a bit more preppy 🙂 I should have brought my faux leather motto jacket.
Hope this weekend guide to Savannah, Georgia helps you to take in everything this magical city has to offer!
