This weekend marks our 1 year wedding anniversary which is a perfect time to share some of wedding planning tips along with some of my favorite vendors.
Let’s start with the tips and I will list all of my vendors at the end. If you are getting married in Atlanta then I have the perfect list of vendors for you!
1. Use an online checklist to keep yourself on track and organized. I used The Knot because it was so user friendly and they have a mobile app!
2. Meet with multiple vendors in each category. I know it’s time consuming but it’s important to price shop and see which people you connect with the best. Start with vendors that are most important to you first. For example: the first vendors we met with after booking our venue were photographers. That was the most important vendor to me and I knew they would be expensive. So while I had budget to work with, I picked a photographer first and moved funds around to accommodate for that. The best decision we made was booking Rustic White Photography.
3. Stop watching Say Yes to The Dress. I had the wedding dress experience built up in my head. I was going to put on a beautiful dress, instantly know it was the one, and everyone in the store was going to cry with happiness – including myself. Sounds magical but that’s not how it worked. I found that wedding dress shopping made me incredibly insecure. So I had to find a boutique that made me feel comfortable and didn’t pressure me. Once I did, the process became much more enjoyable and I was able to relax. I purchased my dress from a sweet Mom and daughter duo at Sweet Elegance Bridal.
