We’ve all been there….You find a piece of clothing you have to add to your closet but it’s way more than you want to pay because it’s a pricey brand. I was swooning over the jeans Good American put out but I knew $160 for a pair of jeans wasn’t the best decision. Sheesh – I could buy a lot of items for $160! So when that happens to you, don’t splurge just yet! Here’s what I recommend…
- Give it a quick google search. See if you can find some digital coupons to lower the cost. A lot of brands offer a discount for first time customers who join their email list. A 10-20% coupon is a nice savings.
- Pop into some value brand stores. I saw Old Navy advertising their new styles of denim so I thought I’d give them a try. Just because they are a value brand doesn’t mean they aren’t trendy! I saw a very similar wash and style that Good American was offering except the Old Navy jean was only $25. I practically ran to the cash register I was so excited.
I saved myself $135 and still got the style of jean I wanted. All it takes a little bit of patience to research another brand. When you get this kind of shopping win, I say to reward yourself with a new pair of shoes or a super cute top to go with those $25 jeans.
Check out the side-by-side below. You can barely tell the difference between the $160 option and the $25 option.
